    14 down, 11 to go.

Not too much to share today. I saw Dr. Harris yesterday, the radiology oncologist, and he seemed pleased with my progress.  He also seemed a little surprised that I wasn't experiencing any of the most common side effects.  I'm a little tired, but still active every day. I've had no nausea or other stomach issues, and the skin of the affected area is still in good condition.

The treatments are going quicker these days as the technicians and I have the routine down pat. It barely takes us more than a couple of minutes to get me set up on the table and lined up correctly.  They start the process which consists of various adjustments of the table and the machine.  I hear the buzz of the first dose which last about 45-50 seconds.  The machine moves and readjusts before giving me the second dose of about 35-40 seconds. Hop off the table and out the door I go.

Sometime this weekend we are going to go to the Pasadena Showcase House of Design, one of our favorite annual events. Then on Tuesday, I will be getting a visit by the traveling phlebotomist who will do a blood draw for a special test. She'll send it on to the laboratory when we are finished. I don't know how long the turnaround will be for results.

I did see the full results from my CT scan last Thursday.  It was nice to see that many other areas of the body that happened to get scanned are in good shape, too. A couple of interesting anomalies here and there, but overall, I'm doing pretty good for a 64-year-old cancer patient.

    Hebrews 4:16

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

    1 Peter 5:10

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
