20 days post radiation treatments.

My recovery from the radiation process is finally starting to turn a corner toward the positive.  The area is less painful, and the "burnt" skin is beginning to peel away. There is a healthy itch to the affected spots, and I'm not as fidgety when I sit for longer periods of time. I'm hopeful that by the time we head on our next road trip in a week or so, I will be as close to normal as I can be.

As I've already shared, I see the surgical oncologist next Tuesday. I hope she will agree that everything is healing great. Still not sure what kind of tests, scans, or blood work will be done to check on the cancer. I know there will be many prayers that everything comes back negative and I am continuing to be cancer free.

    Deuteronomy 7:9

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations.

Even though things are going well now, I know I've reached the point where I have to be cognizant of the fact that this will be a part of my life for many years.  The doctor said to plan the first party after two years but save the big one for five years. I can never get complacent or over-confident. I trust God and have complete faith in Him, but it doesn't mean I don't have responsibilities, too. Follow the doctor's instructions, go to all of the appointments, take care of myself in the best ways possible and stay steadfast in prayer.

    Mark 11:24

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

    Romans 12:12

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

  1. 3 years post radiation for me. My MCC tumors are inoperable. I’ve had 3 years of stability/slow shrinking of the two tumors and living on pins and needles worrying if it has spread somewhere else. My hope is it stays dormant long enough for this to be proven to help

I can’t do immunotherapy or chemo. Tried and both nearly killed me.
52 at initial diagnosis. 56 now.
